With PBS ContentLink you can create a direct and lean connection between SAP systems and storage systems such as EMC Centera and Celerra, IBM DR550, NetApp FAS series, or Hitachi, and in this way enable archiving that meets legal requirements and a future-proof Information Lifecycle Management concept.

PBS ContentLink now also simultaneously supports the new SAP-specific WebDAV 2.0 protocol in addition to the already well-established SAP ArchiveLink interface. PBS ContentLink has been certified by SAP for the integration scenario BC-ILM 2.0 (Information Lifecycle Management for SAP) together with the storage system NetApp Filer from the FAS series. This means that a future-proof implementation is possible using the new ILM for SAP components Retention Manager and Retention Warehouse.

Retention Periods

SAP archive data is stored directly in the storage system with a legal retention period. The storage system itself ensures that the data cannot be deleted within the statutory retention period.

Many SAP customers consider PBS ContentLink – which does not have its own database – to be an inexpensive alternative to a Content Management System. In addition to this, there are further advantages such as high scalability, high availability, as well as low administration. Separate administration outside of the SAP system is not necessary.

The integration of the SAP WebDAV 2.0 protocol results in many new implementation scenarios for PBS ContentLink, which we would be happy to discuss with you personally.
