Bike To Work

PBS Employees Take Part Again in AOK Event

Those who sit in front of the computer all day as part of their job often suffer from lack of exercise and all the unfavorable side effects that come with it. To counteract this, many PBS employees are getting on their bike. Each year they take part in the campaign “Bike to Work” that is organized by the General German Bicycle Club Hessen e.V. (ADFC), the German Heart Foundation, and the AOK health insurance fund. The health of his employees is also an issue close to the heart of Günther Reichling, managing director of PBS and, once again, sponsor of the initiative – this year with 20 professional tire inflators to a value of around €500 that were raffled alongside numerous other prizes at the end of the campaign.

In addition to the passionate PBS cyclists, who cycle to work the whole year round anyway, regardless of weather conditions and who also spend their spare time exploring the beautiful Odenwald region by bike, or who want to spur on their bodies to achieve top performance via pedal power, the occasional “fair weather” cyclists are also motivated during the three-month summer campaign. Taking part in the joint initiative as a group is great fun, is healthy, saves hard cash, and of course, does not harm the environment. In addition, many attractive prizes related to cycling as well as a balloon trip as a group experience are available to tempt participants.

Last year 172,000 cyclists answered the call to take part in this health-promoting and environmentally friendly initiative. Many companies support the campaign.
