PBS ContentLink also Available for Storage System KOMpliance

KOM Networks is New PBS Technology Partner

The Canadian Company KOM Networks is a world leading provider of storage management solutions for compliant data protection and retention. Its storage solution KOMpliance can very well be used in combination with PBS ContentLink, which forms a lean interface between SAP and storage systems.

PBS ContentLink has various Enterprise Content Management functions without the usual complexity which generally characterizes the ECM systems. The combination of PBS ContentLink and KOMpliance provides a cost-effective, lean but highly efficient option to store archived SAP data.

This has been tested extensively for PBS ContentLink version 3.0.4.1 and KOMpliance edition 6.4.2.1748. PBS ContentLink was installed on a Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2. During the tests, KOMpliance was connected as NAS and also as SnapLock variant. The tests focused on the SAP functionalities Archive link and SAP ILM, for which PBS ContentLink has been certified.

The successfully completed tests have confirmed that both solutions harmonize very well. This was the basis for the new technology partnership between KOM Networks and PBS Software for the benefit of many SAP customers, who archive close to the SAP standard and who do not necessarily need a complex ECM system.
